** spoiler alert ** Oh I love your snotty New York society people! So of course, I'm going to enjoy the House of Mirth.

Ms. Lily Bart, loves to "roll with Rich" even though she isn't exactly flush with the cash. Thankfully her life revolves around using her grace and beauty to snag a rich husband. Except there are two problems; 1) everyone seems to know that Lily's whole goal is to snag a "big fish" and none are actually biting and 2) she loves someone that CAN'T keep her in the lifestyle she'd like to enjoy.

When gambling debts get too high and Lily relies on the help of a married smitten friend- rumors begin to fly and slowly she's shunned from the society she wishes so desperately to belong to. Holding on to the belief that she must marry for money and not love, Lily slowly slips into a heavy depression and is forced to work in order to cover her expenses. Will Lily eventually give into love? Will a "rich fish" bite on her line? Will she use the information she has to betray her love and find her way back into society? Read it for yourself!!
