really liked it
bookshelves: 2011

** spoiler alert ** I couldn't put this book down for the last half. Luckily I had the day off and was able to read it all day. However, once finished, I was more confused than satisfied. I was expecting it to be too much like Shadow of the Wind. This book, however, is more about writers, religion, and souls. It has a more supernatural feel to it where characters meet other characters who then turn out to have been dead for 15 years. I'm torn between three stars and four stars. I want four because I couldn't put it down and it was well written, but three because I was utterly confused at the end. I did like how the story intertwined with characters from the Shadow of the Wind. I think I just want a sequel to the Shadow of the Wind.
