Dragons! I just love reading about them, finding out what different versions authors can come up with, so if you offer me a dragon story, I will definitely want to read it. ‘Smoke Signals’ is the third story of the ‘For the Hoard’ collection I have read, and to my delight it is entirely different from the other two. This tale takes dragons into an alternate contemporary world where dragons are known to exist, are somewhere between revered and feared, and while they are much like the creatures described in legends, they are also people more or less part of modern society.
