it was amazing
bookshelves: mystery-crime-detective

*HEART* :) What do I love best about a mystery? A main character as detective with whom I can identify, writing that really focuses on the characters, a dirty rape/murder/other terrible secret, some terrible danger for the protagonist, and a satisfying resolution. This has all of the above. Part of the great literary canon it will never be, but part of the canon of awesome mystery paperbacks? I think all of Mina's work holds a place there... I *so* dig chick mystery writers; women have a talent for the darkest corners that men don't even want to touch, plus they actually think about (and tell us about) the lives of the charaters - my favorite.
