it was amazing

I LOVE this book! So much fun and intrigue. I have seen the 1999 mini series so I knew what to expect but still, how brilliantly done this book is. Sir Percy acts like the young whippersnapper of an numerous wealth who can be dull witted and stupid because of his fortune. Marguerite is beautiful and lets love and passion be her guide in life. Yet it is so much more than that-- do not let the surface fool you, for underneath lies the adventurous and yet noble spirit of both characters. All the little background information was so fascinating. It completely astounded me how the British regarded fashion in a higher sense than morality. I loved this! I would love to read it again. Sweet love story about a married couple! Can't wait to read the rest in the series.
