it was amazing

Loved it! This was my first meeting with Chinese SF and I am impressed. Ok, I admit, I got lost between the technical data and info here and there, but that made it more interesting. And the philosophy behind the idea of finding a way to communicate with another civilization that lives in another solar system, it's great. The author thought of many scenarios about how the humans would react to this idea of another civilization that exists and the possibility of us meeting them in the future.
And what I loved the most was the honesty of the characters and how well the natural human emotions and actions were described. As I was listening to it, I could very well imagine I was there, present when conversations took place, when one had to take a very hard decision about her husband and colleague. Don't want to spoil it for other people so this is all I have to say about this book.
Almost done with the second book, The Dark Forrest.
