really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult, fantasy-scifi, e-book

This was better than #5, the more I read this series the more I see it as en entry-series for many young children into more complex and better fantasy series. After reading this I'd encourage others to try The Thief and the move on to The Lord of the Rings and the like.

Anyways, I've found these sanitized a bit - most of the deaths being from the main characters injuring the bad guys and then the bad guys "stumble" off the side of the building. So they're fighting for honor and what's right but never really killing anyone (although the enemies all die somehow or other). Funny how many people can come a sliver away from death before a friend swoops in with a second to spare. See what I mean, it's simple and predictable, but still good.

ps Reading kindle versions of books will be so much better on the Kindle Fire Santa's bringing for me, rather than my tiny android !
