This book is painful. Not because of the business lessons--there's some good material buried in the awful novel coating. I'm not particularly interested in ops management, but this book does teach some valuable lessons in the area.

However, the characters have no personality, the love story is forced and awkward, and the writing is horrendous. Though there are some good lessons at the book's core, it's not worth wading through the moat of sewage surrounding them. Unless your professor requires you to read this book for class, I can't recommend staying away from this book highly enough.
