I gave this book 5 stars because it "spoke" to me. I am a divorcee who fought for custody. I was lucky to win, but I understand her feelings because I worried about losing.

In addition, the very idea of finding the "here to fore un-known great masterpiece, manuscript, or sculpture" is truely intriging for me.

Sadly, I did not quite follow Barb's path. Yes, she was clearly depressed, but I kept waiting for this fatal/near fatal bad choice or for her epiphany. Neither of which ever transpired.

Still, it kept me entertained and smiling at the end, so I heartily recommend this as a feel good story.

I bet with a little edginess, it could have been a smashing not so happy story.
