it was amazing
bookshelves: ya-realistic-fiction, ya-book-in-verse, ya-fantasy

I don't have time to give this a proper review....but it is AMAZING! I can see why it got so many honors. A creative idea, very well written, engaging story.

Fifteen year old Will's older brother Shawn has just been shot. Will thinks he knows who did it, and the rule of the street is you must get revenge. So will retrieves his brother's gun from its hiding place and heads down to find Shawn's killer. But, this will be the longest elevator ride of his life, as it stops for passengers at every floor. But, Will soon realizes the passengers are all people he used to know....before they died, and each has a story to tell.

This is written in verse, so is a quick read....I wish I had known that and I would have read it sooner! I've been hearing about it and wanted to read it, but just didn't get to it until now.
