it was ok

I found the novel twist of gold interesting although rather tedious at times. it is about two children Annie and Sean who were forced to escape the potato famine in Ireland leaving their dying mother behind. they set off (by boat) to America in search for their father who had left ireland many years previously to create safe and healthy home for his family in america. Throughout the book the children managed to survive a shipwreck and endured poverty and hardship. I was glad to find that the story ended happily with the family reunited in California.
