Moving and insightful story about the time of the Hollocost. I liked how the main character was not actually Jewish because we got to see the view of someone who was involved but not the victim. Shows how many people sacrificed for the greater good of their neighbors, friends, and their country. I enjoyed reading the story and think many kids will like it as well. It gives important information but is not too heavy for a child to get completely disturbed by what was going on in the story. Good book to teach with when introducing World War 2 and wanting Hollocost reading material.
