it was amazing

This is another tragic love story. This is a very eye opening account exposing the horrible inhuman conditionsof the working life of miners in northern France in the 1860's. This includes men, women and children. There are now workers rights, no unions. It really made me think about capitolism. The cool thing about this book is despite the tragic ending, it is one that illuminates a glimmer of hope. Read it! This is a famous time period in history, the book contains great info.
