really liked it
bookshelves: read-fantasy

I liked it. It seems compared to some reviewers, I have a more simplistic view of the books I read. I wonder if it's mood-based. i.e. "Am I feeling philosophical today..."

Anyway...I did like it. It did inspire some late-night reading/finishing. I'm gleefully a'wait'n the sequel now.
It might be I'm also a bit tickled due to the setting of the book - which is in my home state.
I suspect my favorite thing about this author's books (I've read all of two now...) is the banter. I love the dialog. Clever and fun. I truly enjoyed the characters and the research put into this book is impressive. I might have a minor crush on Doc Holiday...but I'm more tickled that he has a suitable lady-love.
I think this twist on the history of Tombstone and the events leading up to the famous OK Corral event is fresh and rather brilliant.

All and all - spiffy. More please.
