really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, paranormal, paranormal-romance, urban-fantasy

Thank goodness there are consistently good writers like Kim Harrison who create endearing characters and great plot lines. I am also thankful that I started her series later rather than sooner, just because I didn't have to wait years for the next book to come out. Now I have to twiddle my thumbs to get the next installment.

The great thing about Rachel et al. is that Harrison could go any direction she wanted to. There is still so much fleshing out of characters in this story...Ivey? Jenks? Rachel? Trent? Al? Pierce? etc.
Who could ask for more???

I am giving this a series as a whole a five, though I think this one book rates about a four.
