OH MY GOD I LOVED THIS BOOK. First of all, Eleanor is such a compelling, endearing character, so sharply drawn, so layered, so lovable (and yet also infuriating). I could have spent so much more time with her, just hearing her takes on everything from manicures to alcoholic cider. Second, the writing is *chef's kiss.* Honeyman (as Eleanor) is so funny, yet manages to deftly weave between moments of true despair/heartbreak and lighthearted fluff without leaving the reader (me) feeling queasy. Third, loved the story and Eleanor's arc. Satisfying without being too neat. I am so glad I picked this up; I know this book will stick with me for a long time.
