This was a fun interesting read about people all over the country who are living very alternative life styles. The people were interesting and quirky- the author included- with all kinds of reasons for living off the grid.

One issue it raises for me is that when one makes the choice to leave the system, the system doesn't receive the infusion of this kind of new thinking that it so desperately needs.

In the end, I am disappointed in the author and all of the participants for making the decision to leave all of us poor dependent souls to suffer with our grid problems and not engage with us to make changes that will benefit our society and the earth.
