I just read the book “The Lost Hero” by Rick Riordan. This book is about the Greek and Roman gods. In this book the main character Jason, the son of Zeus, is a demigod that has no recollection of this past. On a journey throughout the United States with his friends Piper, daughter of Aphrodite, and Leo, son of Hephaestus, they have to find Hera and Piper’s father. Along the way, Jason starts to remember more of his past, until they find Hera and she restores all of his memory. They end up saving Piper’s father and Hera. With his memory returned, he came from a Roman camp like the Greek half-blood camp, and was switched with the Greek Percy Jackson. Hera switched them to have the 2 camps come together and save the universe from a greater force.
I thought that this book was very good. When I was reading it, I couldn’t put the book down. I thought that I wouldn’t like anything to deal with Greek gods and everything but it really surprised me. When the book ended, I had the feeling of sadness, wanting to read more and more. This second series of books by this author was just as good as the first. Right now, the new book has just come out, and I have yet to begin it. I hope that it is as interesting as this one was. My attention was never lost during the book and the writing was so good that I felt like I was there myself. I would recommend this book to anyone and I am really glad that I chose to read it.
