This is the first book in a two-book series written from the perspective of Captain Wentworth in Jane Austen's book Persuasion. The beginning of this book dragged a bit for me because it's just Capt Wentworth on a ship and he does a lot of memory lane walking and sighing and there's a lot of nautical verbage being tossed around, but then it picked up and I really enjoyed it. Anne seems a little different to me in this book than what I get from her character in Persuasion, but I enjoyed it and will read the next book called For You Alone.
