I have mixed feelings about this one. The storyline was interesting and it kept my attention throughout; but it took way way way too long to get to "what happened that night at Porter Place." The entire book is flashbacks between the three members of "The Bitch Posse" as they were as seniors in high school, and currently--at the age of 32. We know that the friends no longer talk to each other since "the night." We also know that all of them have been deeply affected by the outcome of that one spring night. It's pretty easy to figure it out, but it was immensely frustrating that O'Connor would allude and allude and allude to the events and then wait until the last few pages to reveal. By then it not only wasn't shocking, it was more like "I waited this long for that?" I just felt let down by the end. Too much foreshadowing and teasing had the effect of "who cares."
