Told from the POV of Stasia, who was a main character in the previous book. It was cool being able to see Stasia's viewpoint, as she is a shifter and thus has a different view of the world than her partner Brendan (a mage). This was a good sequel to the first, and left me wanting a third book (which I hope is in the works). (view spoiler)[I did think Red's death was rather convenient, especially since the moment his concept was introduced in the previous book, I called said death, but at least Stasia and Brendan can be happy together now without her heartbond hanging over their heads. Recommended for readers who enjoy fairy tales and detective stories.
