Excellent introduction to human believing mechanisms. Michael Shermer covers pretty much everything from the foundations of moral values to religious and political preferences. Several perspectives (Evolution, neuroscience, socio/anthropology, etc). Cognitive biases and belief-induced historical and scientific misunderstandings...
Actually quite good.
