Started off uncertain if I was going to like this Hercule Poirot, but ended up finding it quite a puzzling read. I picked up on some items, but didn't place the pieces together in time.

Enjoyed the tongue in cheek mockery that Christie wove between her own love/hate relationship with Poirot and Mrs. Oliver's love/hate relationship with her own fictional detective.

Also a great line when Poirot was being his typical illusive self: "It was after that remark that there was very nearly a third murder - the murder of Hercule Poirot by Superintendent Spence in Kilchester Police Headquarters." ~ Mrs. McGinty's Dead by Agatha Christie
