I just started reading the book and already erak leader of the skandians got captured while on a raid by the aridi. He sent one of his men to go tell will that he got captured to get him to rescue era. I think that one of the skandians told the aridi to capture erak because they wanted revange for killing slagor and they knew his name and he was the oberjal and no body could have told that. Will and cassandra are planing to leave to pay the ransom. Wills mentor halt got married to lady pauline and in the middle of the wedding theta heard the knows. I wonder who the person is.

princess cassandra was arguing with her dad about going in a special mission to save era but the king said no because she is to young i don't agree with this because when she was battling in a big war she commanded 100 troops and was way from home for 3 yrs. Later the king agreed and let her go with will halt gillan and horace. allys is jealous because she is going with will and she cant because she has a mission to do. i think she wanted to go with will because she loves him.

Jen Good work, Eli. This plot sounds so complicated. I like the observations you make about Princess Cassandra and her past experiences. How does this book compare with the other books in the Ranger's Apprentice series? Do you notice any patterns in the way the author writes the books?
