really liked it

The conversational tone of this novel keeps this book from becoming a weeper as our hero Doug narrates his story. Addressing such topics as illiteracy, abuse, Vietnam, and small town life as well as the artwork of Audubon, the NY Yankees, and the first moon walk, he keeps his story coming. I loved Doug and his circle of friends and family.
