really liked it

A short, wacky, utterly hilarious read where logic is applied to the illogical in a spectacular way. It features Sampietro Mischief - this slightly pompous, mad but brilliant investigator and his pet monster, an accurate reflection of its owner. I loved how Hughes can take something absurd and somehow make it make sense. The play on that old wives' tale ("if you grimace, the wind will change and your face will be stuck like that forever") was perfect - my Mum harped on about that one! A perfect pick-me-up.
