it was ok
bookshelves: biography, non-fiction

On the Road was interesting, as far as it is historically significant. Kerouac's writing has a distinctive feel to it. It's quick to the point of poetry, but it's roughness makes it easy to miss important details.

I won't say that I hated it, but I didn't really enjoy it either. The point of the book is pointlessness--not a way that I could live, but definitely a perspective worth taking a look at for the sake of understanding those who do chose the wandering life.
