The Diary of a Young Girl
Jan 30, 2018
It was strange reading this book for the first time, and yet knowing all along how it would end. But though I knew Anne's tragic fate, I kept on reading, wanting to learn as much about her life as I could. The book is sad and often heartbreaking, but also funny and sweet, as she relates the oddities and small pleasures of living in a confined space with seven other people, and the way she always tried to make the best of an awful situation. In the end, I feel like I know Anne Frank, just a little, and for that I'm grateful.
