really liked it

There is a huge competition that kids can enter, in this competition the kids have to create a new kind of candy, if they win they then their candy distributed around the world. 4 of the kids that are in this competition are Logan, the candy makers son, Phillip, who is very rude, miles, who always has a back back with mystery contents, and daisy, who seems hugely happy and bouncy. They meet up at the factory and all of them ,except Logan, despise Phillip immediately. One night they all secretly go to the cocoa room, only to find someone trying to steal the candy factories secret ingredient! What is going to happen? Who is stealing the recipe? The mean Phillip? The seemingly cheery daisy? Or the mysterious miles? Or is Luke trying to overthrow his father?

The theme for this book is that things are never as they seem. Everyone labeled Philip as the mean and rude kid, when really the was insecure and has a hidden passion. Phillip thought he was banned from the factory for harming Luke when really he was never banned. Miles thought he had seen a girl drown, the girl never came above the water that anyone could tell, but she never died.

Things to like and dislike. This book had so many surprises and turns, it made you never want to put the book down. There was always something around the next bend. This was a book to savor and to relish in it’s wonderful mystery an tales of friendship. This book was something never to forget, never to forget the amazing factory, the individual characters and the adventure of it all. This book can become confusing if read too fast, reading it slowly but often is the way to go.
