really liked it
bookshelves: paranormal, will-read-again, law-enforcement, 2010-13

The problem with reading series books is its a bitch waiting for the next one to come along, specially if the series is at such an interesting stage like this one is. What i like best about Wilks' writing is how easy it is to get immersed in the story and how simple yet awesome the world building is.
The main attraction in Death Magic for me is Lily and the conflict she faces with the Shadow Unit (its in the blurb, so no spoiler here). I like that Wilks brings these tough choices for the characters and everyone doesn't just fall in line to keep the plot moving easily

The only problem i have now is finding time to start the series from book 1 for a re-read - reading these through the night is great when i can't wait to find out what happened next, not so much when half of me is asleep

I hope the next book comes out soon
