the story is about a kid that wants to be accepted by his father after his father belittled him in public. He sets out to search for the sun god to gain power that way he can face off against his brothers and take over his dads position as the executioner.

He heads out to get a slave to sacrifice to the god which he finds in the poor district full of slaves. The slave agrees to go and travel and be sacrificed.

He reachs the mountain with the god of fire in it. He was ambushed by UmBayama. His slaved was impaled by a staff and then dragged into the cave. The Um Bayama lied about going on a quest and got burned to death. In the end Jebel got his powers because he was kind and didnt kill his slave. He went back to the tournament Which he won. He became executioner and then saved a woman by geting executed in her place he didnt die because of his power and he choose a wife. He choose Bas in the begginning he didnt like bas but he saw her smile and feel in love with her then married her and had 8 kids.
