did not like it

As with many of the readers of this series, I love Goldy and Arch and Marla and Tom and Julian. That is the only reason to read this book. I like the expressions Goldy uses because they sound like real folks. I like the fact that she says she is short and pudgy--what else would you expect of someone who cooks and eats all the time? Her husband still loves her despite her faults. They have nice marital sex and after a good night she actually admits she feels sore. She isn't some gorgeous brilliant redheaded sleuth that sleeps with the other detectives and never has to cook or clean.
Read one of the earlier books if you haven't read any of the series yet. Most of the characters in Crunch Time are unlikeable and annoying and the plot doesn't make a bit of sense. I wasn't even inspired by the catering jobs to even care about looking over the recipes. What the heck is a puppy mill?

Patrick I absolutely agree with you. I stopped in the middle and skipped to the end, which is something I never do.
