it was amazing

Beautifully written, deeply evocative novel. I'm not surprised that the author is a poet too. I reveled in the language, but the storyline is riveting too. Very suspenseful. I loved the setting (the Canadian Rockies), a region I know little about. Highly recommended.

Teresa Herlinger My partner, Gina, read this a while back and liked it quite well--she loved the "untrustworthy narrator," as it kept her "on her toes."

gaudeo Good to know. I'm hoping to read it fairly soon! Hope you're reading something fantastic.

Teresa Herlinger Just started Verghese's My Own Country--after adoring Cutting for Stone. This one's about his experience as a doctor treating AIDS patients in the mid-80s. Not easy stuff, but riveting so far!
