Mark Dixon & his collaborators are some of the most consistently clever & imaginative creative people that I know of. Every new project of Mark's perks my interest. He initiated a series of "Think Tanks" in wch groups of people locked themselves into various spaces & stayed there until some object that they entered the space w/ became transformed into another significantly different object. This is from one of the earlier ones, possibly the 1st. Why climb the highest mountain? To prove that we can. Why transform a bike into a record player? To make "Old Territory [become] New Territory".
