In many ways, I thought this was the strongest in the series so far. I definitely found it quite emotionally affecting. I guess the mysetery itself was a bit of a letdown, since I wasn't surprised by the killer and there was no big 'reveal' scene for me. That said, the chacter development was top notch. I found the scenes with the detective's daughter particularly captivating. And no need to read the previous three to enjoy this one, which is nice.
