it was ok
bookshelves: read-in-2011, read-4-school

We had to read a murder mystery for school, and this was what I settled on since... Well, it's Agatha Christie so obviously a murder mystery, and she's supposed to be good.
I didn't like it at all! The characters were really dull and two-dimensional. Although the plot had all the twists you'd expect of this genre, without good characters it didn't work. The dialogue felt stilted and posed to my twentyfirst century mind. This is really a certain 'type' of book, and not aimed at me. If you are in it for the mystery, read it. If you want a book which resonates & where you connect with the characters, skip it.

Also--the title. Where did that come from?
