it was amazing

V. is a rewarding read. The relationship between animate love and inanimate death, depicted through a rubbery narrative frame fluctuating between historical novel and comic strip. Reading it has allowed me to revisit cherished works of art and discover new meanings within them. This novel manages both stomach-churning scope and profound resonance, often within the same scene.

Chapters 7, 9, 11, and 14 are immediate standouts for me. I can only imagine that list will grow with time.

Read this one before you read Gravity's Rainbow, and only read Gravity's Rainbow if you like this one a lot.
