really liked it
bookshelves: american-lit, philosophical

Salinger's prose is, as usual, pristine, the characters vivid, and the dialogues entertaining and thought-provoking. The "Zooey" story is more interesting, although it is also longer. These stories tell a lot about human character, and introduce some interesting philosophies about life. Really, a 4.2.
