CJBox and his main character, Joe Pickett, just get better and better. Missy, Joe's evil mother in law, murders her most current husband, Earl Alden. She shoots him throught the heart with his own gun and then, hoists him on to the blade of a wind turbine. Earl, a master"skimmer" of money, was planning to divorce her. He was worth millions. When he married Missy, two of the largest ranches in Wyoming were joined. Earl minipulated his contacts and money to start a huge wind farm. Missy could lose. She could not stand the thought of it. Her former husband, Bud Longbrake, conspires with Missy. In an act of revenge because she stole his ranch in the divorce settlement, he agrees to testify that she killed her husband. In a stunning court room reversal, he takes the blame for the murder and Missy goes free. To save his family, Joe does not reveal the truth. Missy, could not be tried again for the death anyway. He makes her agree to return Bud's ranch to his kids, sell the other properties and leave Wyoming.
