Interesting- very different from the movies and any cliche parody of Frankenstein- for one thing, the Monster has a thirst for knowledge that causes him, when he finally speaks in the book to be very well spoken and highly intelligent. I rated it only 3 starsbecause I felt the book moved kind of slowly and became repetitive and (maybe unfairly) also because I did not agree with Mr. Frankenstein's attitudes and choices so I got frustrated reading the book. Still, I'm glad I read it. I was also interested to see themes of women's rights and social justice woven in to the book.
