I met Elisbeth Morcellet thru her lover, Reinhardt U. Sevol, when I visited them in Paris in September, 1988. [You can see a movie I made of her then here: https://youtu.be/b0Fx4IiJ_BI ] She gave me this bk & a video of a performance of hers wch I excerpted from in a movie called "Homeless Movies" that documented my trip (mostly made w/ Laura A. Trueseal). Elisbeth's work seemed preoccupied w/ narcissism & love - 2 subjects that might seem to be mutually exclusive if the love is supposed to involve another person - but she seemed to pull it off just fine. Near the beginning of the bk she wrote:
"Elisbeth Morcellet was born in 1987.
She was studying in Art School in Nice until 1981.
Her work was beginning with intimity writing, memories: letters, daydiary, photo album, recordings. In first level this space was private or personal but in second level it was become some sterotype behavior.
Always the artwork was about the sentimental relation. She was starting to make action-performance since 1978...and the subject was always " love " in symbolic, historic, rituels . Also the feminine look and the body was asked...gests, minimal mutilation. In action she was using very precious and estetical installation."

Elisabeth Morcellet is still working around LOVE and MEMORY. She's still practicing body with ART performance. She is one of a known woman performer in France.
She is still using these slogans from 1987:
"LA VIE EST UN ART, SOYEZ DES ARTISTES"
"L'AMOUR EST UN ART, SOYEZ DES ARTISTES"
