I will start this review by admitting that I love Scott Westerfeld's work. Okay, now that I have that off my chest, next confession, I listened to the audio books, where Alan Cumming read the book and he was amazing. Westerfeld brought some great humour to this historical fiction with a steam punk re-telling. Of course my favorite character is Deryn. While, this is a retelling of WWI, Westerfeld emphasizes that it is a love story. The trilogy itself is great and I suggest you let Alan Cumming read it to you.
