2/2.5. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because of the scenes set in 1810. I'm no Jane Austen purist (in fact, I adore Lost in Austen, What Would Jane Austen Do?, and Austenland), but the rest of this story is, alas, absurd, trite, and unnecessary. I disliked Darcy's present-day friends calling him Fitz... Umm, no. And Eliza? Come on! SO predictable. Luckily the Regency stuff slightly salvaged the rest of the book, but I could have done without the present-day storyline altogether.
