it was amazing

The Story of Ferdinand is a cute little book about a bull who doesn't like fighting but loves smelling flowers. Through a series of unfortunate events, he is chosen to fight in the famous bull fights of Madrid. He refuses, however, and is eventually sent back to his field to smell the flowers. I really enjoyed this book, as did the kids I was reading it to. The story doesn't drag at all and ultimately is quite funny; a bull smelling flowers definitely breaks the bull stereotype. The illustrations were well done and matched the jovial sense of the book. I would recommend this in any teacher's classroom.
