it was amazing

What a wonderful book! I began it on a Friday afternoon and couldn't put it down until I finished on Saturday!
Not only is it beautifully written, with lyrical descriptions of the scenery of rural Maine, but the characters are finely drawn and very memorable.
Madapple is a page-turner and shocking at times, but also a fascinating look at the sacred and the secular, and the ways in which religious beliefs can become twisted.
I highly recommend this provocative debut novel and look forward to the author's next book!
