Overall, I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as I thought I would. I thought it would be one of those critically acclaimed books where you couldn't help but love it. It was like this in the beginning, but then it started to decline in quality. It's descriptions and sentences weren't the standard it was at first. Maybe this is because the book started with a very happy mood but then, as the book went on, it became more and more depressing. The ending was happy, but I couldn't help but feel sad because of the gloomy tone it was written in.
Before reading, I had also thought the book would be about a growing friendship and becoming happy with your true self. This was not the case. It was about the two main characters becoming basically obsessed with each other, which was kind of a letdown.
The book wasn't completely terrible, and I feel like it had potential to be really great. But I didn't enjoy it much, and it just didn't leave me feeling WOWed or blown away,.
