I listened to this one as an audiobook, which has a lot to do with why I finished it. Interesting world, but very similar to another of other dystopian universes. Marginally interesting characters and some interesting bits of meta-plot. Cassia lives in a society where everything is laid out for her – love, career, and her whole future, but a glitch in the Matching software makes her wonder if there isn’t something more out there. The descriptions of the world and everyday life were interesting, Some parts of this world make little sense (no one can write but they can all read and type and use computers…) and Cassia’s grandfather seems to be wedged into the story to serve as a talking plot point. Overall – not too bad though I don’t care at all about the love story, which I think is supposed to be the point of this book. Whoops.
