I would have loved it unconditionally had I read it in YA stage; but reading it as an adult, it felt a bit too sanctimonious. However, I absolutely loved Jo March.

Indian readers: the 1987 hit TV serial Kachchi Dhoop on Doordarshan, where Bhagyashree Patwardhan made her debut, was based on this novel. It was directed by Amol Palekar.

Resh This is one of the few childhood favorite books that I'm afraid to re-read as an adult. So still staying loyal to Jo:)
