it was amazing
bookshelves: memoirs, nonfiction

A heartwarming, devastating, but ultimately hopeful account of one man's struggle growing up in the center of a poverty-stricken area of America. Vance is a relatable narrator and allows readers to experience the personal details of his life, while reflecting on our country's perception of those in the lowest socioeconomic class.
