Read in September, 2011 , read count: enough to get to most pages

This was the first "Choose your own" book my son and I read. He was at first pretty skeptical as to whether he would like the books, but as soon as we got done the first time through he immediately demanded we re-read until we get to each page, which we did.

I think his intimidate enjoyment of this book just goes to show how awesome this idea is in general and how great the delivery is in this specific book. Susan Saunders does a pretty good job at keeping the story written in a way that it can be read as being an adventure about "you", thus a choose your own adventure not a choose the adventure. The story it self was also pretty well rounded, with a nice diversity of endings and story lines and a few interesting places for those different story's to intersect.
